NTHEN’s Graduation Exercises and Commencement Ceremonies
NTHEN has hosted graduation exercises and commencement ceremonies for Homeschool students since the early 1990’s and has assisted numerous Homeschool support groups over the years in developing their own graduation events. Nevertheless, our graduation program continues to be very popular with graduating seniors (and their parents) because our professionally designed and executed program offers seniors opportunities to come together for fellowship throughout the year prior to their graduation, and to participate in activities such as barbecues, swimming parties, sporting activities, nights at the movies, formal and other special events. Thus, our graduates graduate as a true graduating class, not just as a group of strangers! Parents appreciate the fact that one low fee covers everything - facilities, speakers, music, reception.

NTHEN typically sponsors one to three graduation ceremonies each year in May, each accommodating 600+ graduate family members and their guests. Graduation always includes a commencement speaker who is selected for his or her ability to “charge” the graduates with their message of encouragement and inspiration to the graduate, family members and all who attended. Special music and singing are also an integral part of our program as is the uniqueness of each student graduating individually, not in a "mass" format. Our 2009 Graduation Exercises and Commencement Ceremony was held on May 23, 2009. The commencement speaker was Dr. Steve Williams, a practicing dentist in Allen, Texas, father to seven Homeschooled children, a Homeschool support group leader, and a true friend to the Homeschooling community. His charge to the graduates of 2009 was one of encouragement, challenge, and service to others. Special music presentations were provided by Mr. Joe Tubb, whose beautiful voice was a real praise unto the Lord, and Mrs. Mary Beth Costello, whose piano accompanyments and ceremonial presentations before, during, and after the ceremonies, blessed the entire event.
If you would like to attend our 2010 Graduation event as our guest, which will be held on May 29, 2010 at Arapaho Road Baptist Church, please contact us by email at graduation@nthen.org or by telephone at (214) 495-9600 for more information. As always, space will be limited, so please inquire early.
If you have a student that you wish to be part of our Graduating Class of 2010, download our Graduation Packet below, complete the information required, sign and send a copy of your completed form and your payment to the address shown in the Graduation Packet. We encourage you to do this early in your student's senior academic year (September-October) so that he/she can participate in the monthly student gatherings and because space is limited at each of these events.
